The ACCC today launched civil proceedings against Medibank for allegedly incorrectly denying some customers their benefits.
"We're alleging that they told people that they weren't covered for various procedures, when in fact they were" - Rod Sims - ACCC.
“Some members were forced to delay surgery due to high out-of-pocket costs for these procedures and to seek alternative remedies to manage pain, when they were in fact entitled to insurance cover.”
